Reiki – Via Distance or In-Person? Which one works better?
Is “in-person” Reiki more effective than distant healing?
Some practitioners say distant healing is just as effective as hands-on healing sessions. Others say it is even better as there is no external complications or distractions – the energy just goes straight to the recipient. And there are even others who believe that distance Reiki and Attunements are not as effective as the in-person practice. (Gasp… let me please give a little rant on this.) Now, my approach to refuting these claims is based on two principles:
- First, Reiki is a universal life force energy that works intelligently, flowing where it is most needed.
- Second, when learning Reiki, we are taught in the second level how to send Reiki remotely using the so-called distance symbol.
Practitioners who have studied Reiki are aware of these principles, but they contradict its efficiency at the same time by stating such things. So, based on these two principles, we cannot first say that Reiki is intelligent and limitless but limit it with a false paradigm associated with traditions and self-interest, period.
To put it correctly, Reiki is never sent; It is always drawn through the practitioner. The channeler serves as a conduit through which the Reiki energy flows through. While performing Reiki, practitioners never use their own energy, because the beneficiary draws the healing energy through them rather than receiving from them. Therefore, when working with Reiki, practitioners will never feel drained, depleted or take on other people’s condition – quite the contrary, they simultaneously receive healing energy.
Conclusion
Vital energy is a gift from God and should always be treated as such. While I myself follow and endorse the practice of not judging others when I see people trademarking or patenting that what God has given us for free – a natural reSOURCE for everyone to benefit from; I must admit that I do have my reservations and just can’t cope with that.
Generally, I consider selfish concepts and ego-minded behavior to be very destructive; however, I understand the need to reward and honor those who have invested their time.
Equally to the traditional hands-on method, the distant transmission occurs instantaneously and simultaneously and the results are exactly the same. Distance does not influence its efficiency.
