Aura | The Seven Subtle Bodies

The Aura comprises many interconnected layers (or Aura bodies), each of them correlating to a different aspect of our physical body and life. These layers transmit information between the body and its surrounding environment. Each of these layers has its frequency of vibration, size, color and is also linked to a Chakra. The layers extending outward from our physical body are larger vibrating in a higher frequency.

Etheric Layer

The etheric body is the first layer of Aura and is located the closest to the human physical body. It is also the densest among all the layers of aura. It provides vitality and organizes the physical body. The etheric body releases energies of the higher bodies to the physical consciousness.

The first layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Physical or lower aspect
  • Root Chakra or Muladhara
  • Physical pain
  • Touch/sense
  • Physical health
  • Survival needs
  • Physical plane

Emotional Layer

The emotional body is the second layer of aura and is connected to the second sacral, pelvic Chakra. It represents your feelings and emotions and is known to effect emotional balance. It provides you strength which is important for action and the manifestation of things in your life.

The second layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Lower emotional aspect
  • Sacral Chakra or Svadhishthana
  • Feeling and emotions
  • Emotional “baggage”
  • Physical plane

Mental Layer

The lower mental body is the third layer of aura. It is comparatively finer and higher in vibration than the emotional body layer. This layer corresponds to the thoughts and mental processes, ego, personal power, rules, regulations, judgment, discipline, and so on. It is connected to the third Chakra (solar plexus) and represents your thoughts and attitudes.

The third layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Lower mental aspect
  • Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura
  • Logical processes, thoughts, beliefs
  • Reading and learning
  • Mental health
  • Conscious mind
  • Opinion
  • Physical plane

Astral Layer or Higher Mental Body

The astral body (or the higher mental body) is the fourth aura layer from your physical body. It performs an important role in acting as the bridge between lower and higher aura layers.

The astral layer connects to the fourth Chakra (Heart). It corresponds to your sense of love, well-being, life balance, etc. The astral layer is also known to be the window to your spiritual nature, and it separates the first three lower layers from the three outer and higher-level layers

The fourth layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Astral level
  • Bridge between physical and spiritual plane
  • Heart Chakra or Anahata
  • Healing
  • Relationships
  • No time and space
  • Dream world
  • Astral plane

Etheric Template or Spiritual Body

This is the fifth layer of aura, and it is connected to the fifth Chakra (Throat). It is a replica of the etheric body layer and corresponds to other aspects of the physical body. It includes all the things you create on the physical level, like your identity, personality, and energy. Many dis(eases) can be identified and treated in this layer.

The fifth layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Higher physical aspect
  • Throat Chakra or Vishuddha
  • Intellect, brain
  • Identity, personality
  • Divine will
  • Creativity
  • Sound, vibration
  • Communication and expression
  • Higher potential
  • Spiritual plane

Celestial Layer or Soul Body

The sixth layer of aura is the celestial body. It is a higher-level aura and is associated with enlightenment. It is connected to the sixth Chakra (Third Eye). It is also known to be associated with light referred to as the visceral level, where you can get access to higher intellectual knowledge, wisdom, higher conscience, and so on. Celestial body provides you to access to higher feelings and knowledge. It is your doorway for experiencing spiritual awakening and ecstasy. This layer helps you express your relationship with your creator with unconditional love. It helps you to provide the purpose of your life, along with strength and a balanced perspective.

The sixth layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Higher emotional aspect
  • Third-Eye Chakra or Ajna
  • Enlightenment and spiritual awakening
  • God´s essence
  • Gateway to astral plane
  • Subconscious mind
  • Intuition, inspiration, insights
  • Unconditional love
  • Spirit world
  • Template for the etheric fields

  • Second spiritual plane

Ketheric Layer or Integrated Spiritual Body

Kether in Hebrew in means “crown”. The final Aura layer is known as the Ketheric template. It is associated with divine and universal consciousness. It is located the farthest from the physical body and can extend around 2-3 feet from it. It corresponds to the feeling of being integrated with the universe. It contains the structure of the physical body and all the Chakras.

The seventh layer of the Aura is associated with:

  • Higher mental aspect
  • Crown Chakra or Sahasrara
  • Higher frequency
  • Oneness with the Divine
  • Gateway to infinite wisdom and spiritual development
  • True Self
  • Third spiritual plane

An Aura clearing can be achieved through several techniques such as Reiki, crystals, sea saltwater bath, Yoga and rhythmic breathing.
